Disclaimer: I was in no way paid, perked, or pestered by Microsoft to share this with you.
I truly just love this program. If Microsoft decides they do want to pay me for this post,
though, I'd be more than happy to accept it.
If you're anything like me, you probably have to squeeze blogging in any time you get a few free moments. Sometimes I find myself in settings where I'd like to be writing a blog post but, instead, I don't have to deal with not having internet. It's real annoying. I was so incredibly excited when I found out that Microsoft has a program that allows you to blog offline.
Seriously, go check out Microsoft Live Writer this instant. It's a free, downloadable program that you can just put right on your desktop, compatible with Blogger, Wordpress, and lots of other blogging platforms. Once it's installed, you are walked through the steps of linking the program up with your blog. It even pulls the template you have so it looks like you're blogging directly onto your blog itself (see above). Over in the "preview" section, it looks even more like your blog (see below)!
There are tons of other reasons I love this program! Just like when you're writing a blog post online, you can go into the "source" section and mess around with the HTML. When you upload pictures, you can do some minor editing right here on program itself. It's easy to hyperlink both pictures and words to where ever you desire.
Once you've completed your blog post, you can set up the categories (with the ones you already have on your blog already set up) and you can even schedule the post for whenever you want. And then, when you're back with internet (or, if you love the program like I do and use it all the time) all you have to do is hit "Publish." It either posts directly to your blog or gets scheduled!
It really is the best! Check it out!
