How to Install a Blog Button

Yesterday, I showed you how to make a blog button.  Today I'm going to show you how to install it onto blogger.  Sorry for those of you who don't use blogger, I don't know how to install it anywhere else.

First, upload your button onto an online album.  I use photobucket because it's free and it's the simplest for me, but there are tons of other free online albums to use.

Once that is done, you're going to need to get the HTML coding for installation.  You need to go to http://www.mycoolrealm.com/sandbox/gbgen/

Enter the information they need, including the web address for the picture you uploaded.

Once everything is entered, click Preview.

If everything looks the way it should, click Reload and Get Code (or it might just say Get Code).
The HTML coding will come up.  Just highlight it all and copy it.

Now, go into your blogger dashboard.  Under the Layout tab, click Add a Gadget wherever you want the widget to go.  Find HTML/JavaScript in the box that pops up.

Now, enter the HTML coding into the box that pops up and click Save.

After that, click Save Arrangement and go check it out on your blog!

There you go!  That's all there is to it!  See, I told you it was simple!  If you'd like to share the blog button tutorial with others, feel free to grab the button.

  9. This was so helpful! I get so mad because every time I try to do it, it says that my HTML code from photobucket has tags. I don't know what this means! Haha so frustrating. #bloggerproblems.

Also, I'd like to invite you- I am hosting a HUGE collaborative giveaway on my blog next month. It's only $5 to join and you will not only get your face and blog linked up on all the posts with the giveaway form but you will also get ALL of your social media attached in the Rafflecopter form for people to follow for entries! Let me know in an email if you are interested :) All of the money collected goes towards a gift card for the readers to win. I'd love to have you!

  10. I wish I had had your tutorials when I made my button! It took me forever to figure the whole process out; so frustrating! I might just go ahead and make a new one now :)

ALSO, I think I totally forgot to tell you how much I love your new design, and love story page. Fun fact: my Dad and Steve also agreed on a "dowry" for me, but they decided it would be 5 healthy cows or 4 sick ones, so consider yourself lucky for being worth 10 horses haha.
